Description
Nos Galan is the Welsh festival of New Year’s Eve. It is marked with many ancient traditions but perhaps the most colourful, unique and famous is the Mari Lwyd. The horse’s skull, festooned with ribbons, carried from house to house by merry, mischief making wassailers.
This sweater, with the Mari Lwyd motif and the words “Nos Alan Hapus” which means “happy New Year’s Eve” is a uniquely Welsh alternative to the traditional Christmas Jumper.
